Portable Toilets

Portable Toilets
Portable toilets are a safe, convenient and sanitary way to install basic toilet facilities in areas that do not have ready built conveniences or the availability of plumbing to build more temporary solutions. Portable toilet hire companies will hire out to several different types of businesses such as building sites and festivals. These mobile toilet hire companies will transport the toilets to the location, maintain the cleanliness conditions and empty the waste tanks and then remove the porta loo when it is no longer needed at the site location. Having these basic human waste disposal units available is usually a prerequisite to acquiring a licence for holding festivals, concerts, building sites etc.
The basic design of a portable toilet is to be made from plastic and contain a simple toilet and a waste containment tank. They are designed for individual use and are approximately three feet in width and depth with seven feet in height. There is ventilation built into the top of the unit and usually some form of deodorizing capability to keep bad odours at bay. The stability of the unit is through being weighted to on the bottom of the unit where the containment tank is located. This ensures safety. There is a lock fitted on the door of the unit to ensure privacy while in use. This is the very basic model that is used and has been used for many years now. New developments in design now sometimes also feature toilet roll dispensers and anti bacterial gel to cleanse hands after use. New technology developments in anti-microbial plastics have also gone a long way in the new designs of portable toilets. These plastics have chemicals actually integrated into the plastic moulding that help ensure bacteria free surfaces. Chemical toilets are a version used by mobile toilet hire companies which use specially formulated blue coloured chemical wash to keep the unit clean and also go a long way to keeping smell to a minimum. The same chemical toilet design (though not portable) is used on airplanes, caravans, trains and boats.
There is also been developments in the luxury mobile toilet. These toilets can range from a larger sized plastic model as described before including basins to very modern conveniences that are often to be seen in large cities of Europe for public usage. These are usually paid per use and very hi tech compared to the previous basic design. They are powered and electronically monitored with automated wash cycles and cleaning cycles that ensure that the toilet is in pristine condition for every use. Compared to the basic porta loo used on building sites these luxury automated portable toilets can seem a world away in design.
It is clear that the need for portable sanitary units is essential and will remain to be necessary in many situations where large groups of people occupy areas where there are no built in toilets for their use.
